About Claire...

Claire grew up painting alongside her grandpa in Toronto, Ontario. In their sunroom, he would spend warm afternoons painting portraits in oil, and beside him Claire would paint as well-with her fingers.

Quickly Claire fell in love with art,  and gradually she began to recognize its therapeutic abilities.  As a teenager she attended Earl Haig Secondary School’s Claude Watson Visual Arts program, before moving out East to pursue higher art education at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design

(NSCAD University, BFA 2019).

Although Claire is primarily a drawer/paint and printmaker, she has also incorporated ceramics, silver casting, embroidery, rug hooking -and occasionally finger painting still-into her practice.  She is currently working on a psychology and counselling degree at UBC in Vancouver (BA 2022), as she intends to develop a livelihood that can balance both her practice, and a career as an Art Therapist.

Claire has been working as an assistant art educator with NorthVan Arts, for their Camp Creative summer program for children. She taught a children’s painting workshop in Fall 2021.

Currently Claire sells her art over Instagram and at Vancouver Farmer's Markets. Market dates for her attendance at the UBC Farm will be announced shortly.
